I wanted to start a company that felt very personal. A company where I could not only showcase my creativity, but the creativity of people whose work personally affected me. At The 4208 Group we endeavor to design spaces for women creatives to thrive. Our goal is to cultivate their growth and development.
Founder, Rahima R. Rice was born and raised in Washington, D.C. Her most recent work includes the full-length play At the Full Yum (Signature Theatre 2020 SigWorks Reading Series), the short film Making & Breaking (People’s Choice Award Winner, 2020 OLA Film Festival), and the one-act play, The Eight (2018 Anacostia Playhouse Visions/Revisions New Works Festival, 2020 Pro-Black One Acts Festival). Rahima holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for the Stage & Screen from Lesley University.
Rahima is a founding member of District Dramatists, DC’s premiere playwright’s resource group.
